Francisco Neto é o proprietário da Quinta do Loureiro e o seu encantador anfitrião de férias, que lhe garantirá umas maravilhosas férias no Vale do Douro. Vive perto da casa da quinta e está disponível para responder a quaisquer perguntas sobre a casa e os arredores. Pode dar-lhe conselhos sobre coisas para ver e fazer, onde comer, como chegar ao supermercado mais próximo, bem como organizar uma grande variedade de excursões locais para si.

A bela propriedade pertence à sua família há gerações; antigamente eram proprietários dos barcos que navegavam pelo Rio Douro para levar o vinho até às Casas do Vinho do Porto, no Porto. Há muitas fotos e artefactos interessantes que adornam as paredes da casa e que realmente dão ao visitante uma noção da sua história. A maioria dos quartos está mobilada com maravilhosos móveis antigos, o que acrescenta um charme e um ambiente incríveis à propriedade. Acrescente a isto os belos jardins onde pode passear à vontade, absorvendo os aromas de citrinos e eucalipto, antes de dar um mergulho refrescante na piscina, ou simplesmente sentar-se e apreciar a vista fabulosa, acompanhado por um copo de vinho local, claro!

Francisco was an awsum person to deal with and his wife is an angel. They met us at the nearby train station to escort us to the home. Always available onsite to help with anything or to answer questions. A real gem!!

Lovely home in a stunningly beautiful area. We got a very nice reception and had the house thoroughly shown, with several personal stories. There are 4 lovely rooms, all with a view and small balcony, and large living room, kitchen and lovely outdoor facilities, incl. pool. Francisco is very welcoming and he was able to give many suggestions for activities in the area. It is not possible to get to the house without a car, because it is a bit on its own in the mountains, but the view is amazing. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Francisco's house.

We had an incredible stay at Francisco and Teresa’s property. This place is truly a gem and we feel lucky to have had the opportunity to stay here. The view from every bedroom is incredible. The pool is clean with amazing views, the terrace is perfect for group meals. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equiped and the bedrooms were comfortable. Francisco and Teresa were so kind and accommodating, they live round the corner and gave us some great recommendations for to local area. Overall, one of the best places we have ever stayed in and we would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore the region. Expect stunning views and starlit skies. Thank you Francisco and Teresa!

This spot is idyllic. The view is absolutely wonderful from every bedroom. The place is full of history and yet has all you need to enjoy your holiday with a well equipped kitchen and lovely eating area. The beds are new and comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. The pool is excellent and of high quality. Be aware that the surrounds of the house are quite rustic. You will need shoes to go to and from the pool and down the slope to the terraced eating area and around the house as there is gravel etc. The hosts are incredibly helpful people. First class hosting. We had a wonderful holiday. It is so peaceful.

We, two families with a total of 4 children aged 9-14 years, enjoyed our stay at Francisco's Quinta very much. The view over the Douro Valley is picturesque. Those who like the charm of a historic country house are absolutely in the right place here. The amenities of the house are very good and you can relax excellently by the pool. Francisco lives nearby, is easily accessible and helps with any questions that arise in a timely manner. Located directly on the Douro train (train station 15 min walk), you can get around very well by train. By car, it is about 1 hour to Porto.
